In this first part, we will describe the stages that preceded the production of the stamp itself :

• The process which led to the original design approved by the postal administration for the stamp 0,50F Marianne de Béquet;

• The genesis of the stamp, which passes by the engraving of the steel die and side issues that go with it.

We will also take advantage of this part to show a number of special documents with at least a copy of the stamp 0,50F Marianne de Béquet, but which are not essential to the manufacturing of the very stamp.
